Project Highlights
The 150MW Solar Park Covatillas 1,5 and 6 in Cuenca, Spain was connected to the grid in June 2025. Developed by Sonnedix, the installation uses 277,000 Astronergy solar modules with an annual generation capacity of 300,000 MWh. This output can power 71,000 homes while reducing CO₂ emissions by 108,000 tonnes annually. The project incorporated environmental protection measures during construction, including wildlife protection protocols, restoration of traditional dry-stone walls, and creation of water access points for local fauna. Astronergy supplied the solar modules as part of its solar energy solutions portfolio.
