Project Highlights

Located in the Ergene industrial zone of Tekirdağ Province, Türkiye, this project stands as a prominent commercial and industrial (C&I) distributed solar milestone, showcasing Astronergy’s dedication to decarbonizing heavy industry and metal manufacturing. The project owner, Zinca Metal, is a premier Turkish aluminum extrusion and casting enterprise operating a state-of-the-art facility spanning over 45,000 square meters. To fulfill its sustainability vision and curb carbon emissions from energy-intensive manufacturing, Zinca Metal partnered with Dexren Enerji, a recognized Turkish renewable EPC company, to install a 1.5 MWp solar PV system across its factory rooftops.

Astronergy fully supplied its premier ASTRO N5 series n-type TOPCon bifacial double-glass modules for this installation. Given that metal manufacturing plants demand highly durable equipment capable of mitigating structural load constraints and harsh industrial environment challenges, the ASTRO N5 modules—celebrated for high efficiency, superior PID resistance, and reliable bifacial power gains—served as the ideal choice. Scheduled for grid connection in 2026, the project will not only significantly offset the facility’s operational electricity expenses but also provide a shining benchmark for the “green transformation” of the local manufacturing sector.
